For your consideration, A seldom seen French 1914 Remington Rolling Block bayonet with scabbard. I read on a website that t were only 2000 of these bayonets manufactured by Remington for the French contract at at that time. This example is very clean and well preserved. T are minor issues to discuss. The cutting edge of the blade has been sharpened in a very professional manner and is VERY sharp for it's entire length. The blade also shows minor contact with an electric sander? in a couple small places. Muzzle ring measures right at 9/16". T is also some minor rust pitting on the bottom of the hooked quillion. The walnut grip panels are extremely nice with only one shallow pea sized ding on one panel. The scabbard is dent free, but is missing the throat. The frog is becoming stiff with age and appears to have been coated with lacquer. I tried to show the anomalies in the pictures. I viewed a couple of these bayonets that sold on other auction sites in excess of $200. From that, one can suppose that t are not many of these in existence.
