For sale is a beautiful handmade fighter kite . This kite is made from modern materials.It is very similar to the kites in the "Kite Runner" movie, only faster and smaller. The whole kite is made from Icarex (a strong coated ripstop polyester) All the joints in this kite are made by contact cement . This kite too, like all the kites I build, has icarex pockets at thewingtips for additional strength. Bow is 0.55 carbon fiber. The spine is made from flat carbon fiber ( 5mm wide and 1mm thick ) glued on to bamboo with contact cement and has a 2 bead line tensioner to adjust the bend of the spine. Battens are0.02" carbon fiber. Wingspan 18.5" from wing-tip to wing-tip.Spine 17 " long . Ideal wind 3 - 15 mph. The kite has a 3 point fully adjustable bridle, made from braided dacron 16lb strength . I have test flown this kite and it flies straight and tracks perfectly.
