Here's a nice, evenly circulated, Large Size Original Series Fr. 380 $1 note from the Phoenix National Bank of Hartford, Connecticut (CT), charter 670.Highlights- Scarce note, 1 of just 8 $1s known (all original series; 1875 $1s not issued)- Bank issued through 3rd charter blue seals but 1st and 2nd charter notes are by far the scarcer issues from here- State Capital- Mid-grade condition among the known $1s from this bank; only 2 $1s graded higher and best is only VF- Perfect for someone looking to represent the bank, type or both without paying four figures- Extremely eye-appealing considering circulation, though that's common for $1s- Lovely printed or penned signatures (I can't tell which)- Bright red overprints despite heavy circulationPCGS has graded this Very Good 8 Apparent with Edge and Internal Restorations. I see 4 pinholes and a few soft spots, primarily in the margins. Still faces up very nicely. But you be the judge!
