LRRP PATCH 1967 - 69, Very Short time window Original Vietnam War Patch: Long Range Recon Patrol - 9th Infantry Division - Easy Company Excellent Elite Piece - One Only Available A very short time window applicable for this patch - Formed as the Long Range Recon Patrol Element of the 9th Ifanntry division the unit was formed in Vietnam from Elite Special Forces trained operatives. Formed in December 1967 the unit existed only February 1969. With no more than 120 operatives throughout this service period it gives a real indication of the rarity of this elite piece. In February 1969 under orders to combine LRRP (LURPS) Units, Company E, 50th Infantry, 9th Infantry Division, Long Range Patrol became a US Special Forces, RANGERS Unit and was renamed, E Company, 75th Infantry, US Rangers, with new insignia.
