This is a great set of irons! I bought these new and only had a chance to hit a few shots with them, mostly with the 9 iron. You won't find a set in better condition.Maxfli VHL (Variable Hosel Length) irons 3-PW. These irons are highly playable and forgiving; if you are familiar with Maltby's "Playability Factor" ratings for irons, the VHLs scored 823, which is at the very top of the "Super Game Improvement" category (second-most forgiving category). The great thing about the VHLs is that while they are very forgiving, especially on toe hits, the blade is rather short with a medium-to-thin top line and moderate offset. In other words, from the address position the irons look like players' irons but provide a lot of forgiveness, due to the variable hosel design that, in the long irons, takes weight away from the hosel and moves it out toward the toe. I have several sets of VHLs, and have gamed various sets of VHLs through high school and college golf. I need to trim down my inventory a bit, and a few of the extra sets of VHLs need to go. The irons are a matching set; they have the True Temper Integrated Steel uniflex shaft which plays between regular and stiff (the shaft is smooth, provides medium flight, and is not at all soft or whippy---I've played TT R300 and S300 and this shaft plays between the two, a bit closer to R300 and read more
