Fine Old Pedang/Peudeung Panjang Sword-No Keris/kris Fine Old Pedang/Peudeung Panjang Sword Welcome to my auction, You are looking at a very fine old Peudeung Panjang Sword , originated from Aceh, Northern Sumatera . Fine old peudeung peusangan with nicely carved hulu tumpang beunteung. Sturdy steel blade has a single sharp edge with an elegant fuller runner three quarter on the blunt side. Hilt known as hulu tumpang beunteung, nicely shaped and carved a beautiful floral motif. Hilt middle part fully encased by yellowish metal, supposed bronze alloy, a nice patina showing it`s age & usage. Upper part of the pommel seems had been restored. Wooden scabbard typically traditional made with upper and bottom part decorated with buffalo horn tips, which beautifully carved floral motifs. Blade is a bit rusty, but overall still in a very good condition. Age : Indonesia edge weapon usually made without any date or marking. Base on the condition and patina, this Peudeung Panjang should be circa late of 19 th Century with newer scabbard. Please look at my pictures.
