Two (2) piece set of R. Lalique crystal in the Vigne Striee pattern of 1920 including one (1) bowls and one (1) plate, the bowl measuring approximately 2 1/4" height and 4 3/4" diameter, the plate measuring approximately 1" height and 6 1/2" diameter. The bowl is decorated at the base with an embossed and grisaille enamel pattern of twining grape vines. The plate is decorated with an embossed and grisaille enamel head of Bacchus, God of Wine, with a cluster of grapes upon his head. The two pieces are designed to work together as a perfect set: when the bowl is set upon the plate, the round garland of twining grape vines in the bowl beautifully encircles and centers the head of Bacchus upon the plate. Both pieces have the striated, slightly evolute and wide borders that characterize the pattern. Both pieces are signed "R. LALIQUE" in impressed block letters (as shown) and with a diamond point inscribed "France" after the impressed signature. Both pieces are in MINT condition with no chips, cracks, scratches, repairs or problems of any kind. These are quintessential Rene Lalique!
