A Rene Lalique bowl and matching underplate in the Vigne Striee pattern, the underplate measuring 6 1/2" diameter, the bowl 2 1/2" height and 4 3/4" diameter, both pieces marked with the R. Lalique marks (shown) and in PERFECT condition. The enamel work is en grisaille and shows the head of a faun on the saucer and a wreath of grape vine on the bowl. As you can see, the faun's head centers perfectly within the wreath when the two pieces are put together - very clever and quintessentially Rene Lalique. No chips, cracks or scratches - very interesting and nice.
