This is a large, colorful, very sturdy basket. The splints are various sizes with the large ones going across the bottom and narrower ones going up the sides (giving it strength). Woven in between these are the very narrow splints. At the top are of the basket the splints are twisted together in a rope like manner. That is also true of the handles, again, making them very strong. There are four decorative triangles woven into the top of the basket; one of these has some split pieces. Finally the splints have been colored with a rust or orange color. The basket is 12 1/4 inches high at the top rim and 14 inches high at the top of the handles. The basket is 12 1/4 inches in diameter at the top. This is a great basket for display or to hold your odds and ends.
