Up for auction is a gorgeous woven tapestry / rug / wall hanging with a Tree of Life design. The "Tree of Life" design shows up in many cultures, it is a very ancient and universal symbol. This design is very colorful and is woven using dark brown, black, red, deep red, ivory, tan, yellow, gold, pink, purple, brown, turquoise, royal blue, dark blue, rust, gray and and green yarns. The primary background colors are dark brown, deep red and ivory. T are 16 birds in this tree! In the Southwest, the tree symbol is often portrayed as a corn plant. This is very nicely woven! The pattern is on both sides with the weaving being fine on one side and a bit rougher on the other. This would make a great accent piece in your home, office or bedroom! A decorator's delight! Great price for this quality of weaving! This rug is approximately 27" wide by 44" long. This is a wonderful item for Southwest, Native American, Western Decor or Modern Contemporary, to name a few.
