This is for a really beautiful Victorian Hobbs Cranberry Opalescent Daisy & Fern Square Font Oil Lamp produced during the 1880's to 1890's. This is not Fenton or LG Wright. This was never reproduced in a square font. The font is the same mold as the Hobbs Christmas Snowflake mold with the many loops on top and bottom. The font is rare being that as far as I know Hobbs did not make Daisy and Fern and Northwood as far as I know did not make Lamp Fonts. I am sure that it is 1890's before Fenton was in existance. It is in great shape with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The collar has some tool marks on it and has been replastered. The white opal base is in perfect shape as well. Great pattern as shown, centered on the bottom. The glass is clean with minimal residue. Measures 91/4" tall to the top of the collar and the font is 4 1/2" across. A really beautiful Victorian Oil Lamp. INV #0008. Note to New York buyers : I am now required to collect Sales Tax for the State of New York if being shipped within the state.
