Lovely vintage Uneeda 19" jointed red headed doll. Found at a resale shop. She is marked "Uneeda 2 s" on the back of her head. She has a few conditions issues the worse being cloudy eyes, her right eye is about half clouded and the left eye is mostly clouded. Her eyes were sticking a little so I put a couple drop of mineral oil in each and now they open and close perfectly(I also think it made the clouding a little less noticeable). Another issue is her hair looks like it was cut by some aspiring hair stylist, while there is a decent amount of hair it looks choppy to me. I am not familiar with this doll so I'm not sure how her joints are suppose to work. I can tell you her hip and knee joints are tight and hold there positions. Her left foot seems tight and is hard to move at times but then suddenly it will move. The right foot is looser and moves freely, seems to come out of the high heel position easily. She can stand on her own in the flat footed position, and I think if she had shoes on she would stand in the high heel position. I did restring her arms using dressmaker elastic but I am not an expert so at some point they may need restringing but for now they are secure and can hold an up position and the elbows hold a bent position, that being said they aren't as tight as her legs.
