For your consideration today is this vintage Bandai Japan tin, windup toy speed boat called the B-619 Ocean that has some very neat features! This item has a $2.00 Handling Fee for International buyers! ~~ Description: We are selling this very cool looking tin windup toy boat from Bandai of Japan that is marked B-619 Ocean which features an open top outboard motor, plus some great looking lithographed tin. The toy would be from around the early 1960's, it has the B for Bandai and Made in Japan markings on one back corner, the boat measures 11.5" long overall, then is 4" wide and it is 3" tall to the top of the motor. ~~The toy has a crank that you turn quickly so that the propeller spins around, this works pretty well overall, but the shaft has a small uneven spot where it goes into the boat that really does not affect the overall running operation, when turning the crank, it sometimes goes around a little before grabbing, but it does turn very well, and when doing that, it makes a Very neat action that is sort of hard to explain!! The top of the motor has a clear plastic covering so you can see the spinning colors like a daisy wheel, and the rudder in the back can be set in different directions as well. ~~The boat has a lot of excellent plus parts, and has a few that have some small to moderate issues as well. The main boat part has excellent colors and graphics with only minor wear or marks, the top and edges remain sound with no dents, the lower part has more wear of course and also has a dent in one spot that looks like it could almost pop out if you got inside. Very nice color but does have some scratches and scuffs. The crank handle is fine with a green plastic grip, the driver and cockpit area remains in very fine shape with beautiful colors, the helmet has some light surface rust spots that are so minor, normal oxidation to the plain rivet ends, only very light wear to that area and the steering wheel remains nice. ~~The boat motor remains in fine shape structure wise with no dents or holes, the great majority of the middle and lower parts remains in excellent condition with only very minor wear or marks, but the very top cover of the motor has a number of surface rust spots that have taken the color off, but nothing is weak or rusted out at all, or even close to that. The markings around the cover are still very nice, the back area on the top has some roughness as well, and the plastic covering parts are still sound with some light surface wear. I think the top could be refinished and make this an even nicer toy!
