This is a vintage (1900s to early WWII) Japanese Dai Nippon Butoku Kai (DNBK) member badge. It's in perfect shape and comes with original ribbon attached. It's in perfect shape too. The badge measures about 19.5 mm in diameter. A little background on the DNBK: In 1895 the elite class of martial artists with the support of the Gov. of Kyoto established the DNBK (Greater Japan Martial Virtue Society) in Kyoto to promote and standardize all martial arts.
