This FERRET fetish was carved by Native Americans ABBY QUAM and her husband CLAYTON PANTEAH from SODALITE . I purchased this carving during a buying trip to the Zuni Reservation in New Mexico. The fetish has been enhanced by a turquoise heartline (pathway to the power and soul of the animal) on the chest. The artists have also inlaid turquoise for the eyes and etched their hallmark initials on the bottom. The fetish measures 2 1/8" long, 1/2" wide and 5/8" high.
