Up for auction is a stunning 18th c. Marseille, France faience wall plaque or tile depicting the Biblical Old Testament story of Abrahams sacrificing Isaac, I believe manufactured by Savy of Marseille. The piece is beautifully handpainted in Marseille's famous violet purple and the green which I believe Savy was famous for. It is marked on the underside with a reddish Fleur de Lys, I believe a mark used by Savy as well. The piece is in good condition with no apparent problems and is framed (included) in a vintage frame. The plaque measures approximately 8.75" x 9.75" and with the frame is about 10.5" x 11.5". If any one out t has any additional info on this piece, or if any of my information in incorrect, please let me know! I could not find too much info on either Savy or the marks he used online.I am offering this beautiful piece of 18th c. French faience porcelain for a low starting bid and no reserve!
