Monroe, Wave Crest / Mt Washington Glass rare Helmschmeid Swirl, handled, covered sugar bowl. This unique sugar dates from 1902-1904, and features both obverse and reverse hand-painted and transfer pink & white florals + tasteful swirl edge hand enamel beading. Our bowl carries a very ornate silver plated rim and rope twist handle. Helmschmeid Swirl covered sugar bowls can be seen in The Glass Of C.F. Monroe / by Wilfred Cohen, on Pages #61-#63, and our sugar bowl finish is in great condition. It weighs 13 oz. and measures 4.25 x 4.25 x 5 inches tall, bail raised. This classic Mt.
