AntiqueChild's Sewing Box, Thimble & Tools Continental * Circa 1900 This sweet little child's sewing workbox is in a cardboard constructed case with a charming picture of a little boy and girl on the top. All of the papers and linings are original. The compartments inside hold 4 small wooden spools, a cardboard thread winder, a packet of needles, some silks, ribbons, snaps and milk glass buttons. There is also a tiny child's brass thimble and small steel scissors with rounded safety tips. Inside the top is a small mirror (original). The clasp on the front has a flip up wire that latches over a brass ball and it works well. Some of the cardboard is frayed around the top edges, but the case is in great overall condition. It measures 6 1/2" by 4 1/2".
