This is a cracking pair of parts from raf spitfire.This is a section of pipework from the engine and a section of the main structure of airframe from the plane both have green paint remains and are around 4 inchs long the parts have been cleaned but would clean up more with some effort and is a nice and very collectable piece of battle of Britain history these parts come complete with a 5X7 information sheet with the crash details and photos and is perfect for display or any collection.This piston came from RAF spitfire work number P9364 flown by Sergeant E scott which was shot down and crashed at Hollingbourne in Kent during the Battle of Britain on the 27th September 1940 by German fighter ace Werner Molders. On the 27 September 1940 the plane failed to return and was believed crashed near Hollingbourne, Kent, with the pilot Sergeant E Scott presumed killed by Werner Molders; his 55 th victory Werner "Vati" Mölders was born on 18 March 1913, at Gelsenkirchen in the Ruhrgebiet.
