Here is a beautifully restored Gamewell POLICE Call Box Telephone and Top Light Assembly from Hello Central Antique Telephone Company. This is Not a replica Gamewell Police or Security Officer Emergency Call Box . The Call Box is made of cast aluminum (herculite) and steel. The Police Box and Telephone have a powder coated (baked on enamel) finish with professionally hand painted "silver" lettering. On the side of the Call Box is a 1930-40's Western Electric, Model 211 Telephone that has been converted for use on today's telephone system. The telephone handset is the older F style and is made of bakelite with a black Cloth Covered Cord. The modern day telephone components are located inside of the Call Box. The police telephone also features a working Top Light Assembly with a Cobalt Blue Glass Globe. The Top Light makes a great night light for your office, gameroom, den or other special area. It is controlled by a "On-Off" Line Cord Switch and plugs into a regular household electrical outlet. No key is provided or required for the police call box front door.A slang name for this style of Gamewell Call Box is the "FLAT TOP ".
