Here is a beautifully restored Gamewell Police Call Box Telephone with Top Light Assembly from Hello Central Antique Telephone Company. This is Not a replica Gamewell Police Call Box. The Police Box is made of cast aluminum (herculite) and steel. The Police Box and Telephone have a powder coated (baked on enamel) finish with professionally hand painted lettering. On the side of the Police Call Box is a 1930-40's Western Electric, Model 211 Telephone that has been converted for use on today's telephone system. The telephone handset is the older F-1 style and is made of bakelite. The modern day telephone components are located inside of the call box.A slang name for this style of Gamewell Call Box is the "Flat Top ". The working Top Light Assembly makes a great night light for your office, game room, den or other special area and is controlled by an "On-Off" Line Cord Switch. Please note, a "VoIP" (Voice Over Internet Protocol) Telephone System such as available through Vonage or other Internet carrier will require a converter not provided in this auction.
