I am also including a FREE video ($5.00 value) with this one. In addition, since I have not completed the assembly I can offer the $16.00 Flat Rate shipping option (to ANYWHERE in the US) IF the buyer is willing to complete the final steps of assembly (insert 4 screws and 2 bolts). Thus far, ALL customers who have chosen the option have told me it took them less than 10 minutes to complete the assembly. I provide simple to follow, DETAILED written instructions for the buyer, and I will make my phone number available in the unlikely possibility a problem is encountered. ALL holes will be completely drilled prior to shipment so there cannot be any alignment issues. If the buyer simply does not want to do the final assembly I can still ship the fully assembled jig by Priority Mail but the cost will be dependent upon the buyer's zip code. The packaged weight of the jig will be under 12 pounds. In years past I have taken one or more of these tools to knap-ins. I am always amazed at how quickly young boys, in the age range of 9 to 12, have learned the basics of use in VERY short order can learn the basics and begin using this jig to make nice points with. And I think this tool would make a great gift for a boy or girl in that age group who is experiencing problems learning to pressure flake. I also think (and yes I am biased) it would make a great gift for those knappers who have become frustrated because they can no longer to pressure flake like they once could. In my case this inability was the result of arthritis along with muscle and nerve atropy in my shoulders, wrists and hands. This listing is for my "In-the-White" version of the LPF2 I have sold on eBay for some time. This version utilizes ALL the materials listed for the LPF2. All cuts are made, and the EPDM and Neoprene (the Neoprene on this model is MILITARY grade 3/32 inch thick)have been bonded with high-strenth industrial-grade adhesive to the corresponging wooden parts. All holes have been drilled, and all the screws, bolts, washers, and nuts have been installed. I use Standard-Grade lumber on this model (#2 grade) instead of the premium grade I use on the Deluxe versions. I have sanded all end cuts (and any rough areas) with 80 grit paper at high speed. Unlike earlier versions of my "In-The-White" on this one the finall shaping of the 2X6 that is used for the incline or "v-notch" board HAS been performed. By me not using the more expensive lumber, thicker Neoprene and EPDM that I do my my Deluxe version, and by not spending as much time sanding, I can sell this version for about $14 less than the Deluxe version. NO SHORT-CUTS ARE TAKEN ON QUALITY! This tool can be used to push flakes the size of which a knapper could never achieve with normal pressure flaking. In addition it will allow knappers with functional limitations such as poor grip, nerve and muscle tissue atropy to continue to pressure flake reproductions. This tool is EXTREMELY easy to get started with. After taking 10 minutes or so to anchor the tool to a steady surface, the user can be using it to knap after only 10 - 15 minutes of practice. And with continued practice the user will quickly learn to use this tool to push off flakes with much greater ease and with much greater consistency than ever before.
