You are bidding on a large vase form by internationally renowned potter and sculptor Paul Chaleff . DESCRIPTION: This imposing masterwork from Paul Chaleff stands just shy of 14" tall and measures 8" at its widest. It is glazed in a rich grey shino with celadon crackled highlights. The form is imposing and powerful in its asymmetry with areas of provocative "swells", most notably around the shoulder of the piece. The ribbed oblong neck has subtle pink and green highlights and opens into a round dark brown- almost black- lip. This museum quality pot is in mint condition- no chips, cracks or repairs- and is signed and dated (1985) by the potter.
