Iridescent CalciteDouble Keokuk Geodeclosed dimensions: 1-7/8 in X 1-5/8 in X 1-3/8 inweight: 2.2 ozThis small double Keokuk geode shows off different colors and crystal habits of calcite crystals. The larger cavity is lined with pseudocubic brown calcite crystals that have ingested goethite making them iridescent. They reflect green hues of of their crystals' faces. A later growth of clear rhombic calcite crystals dot the surfaces of the brown calcite. The smaller cavity has the same combination, but with much less iron goethite the brown crystals are tan and not iridescent. This exceptional geode was found in Adams County, Illinois.I specialize in top quality, mineralized Midwestern USA Geodes.My passion is collecting, buying, trading, and selling these geodes.
